Moutai's Legendary Evening at The Fontenay


 

On November 22nd, marked a milestone in the cultural fusion of East and West,   orchestrated by Moutai Germany at The Fontenay. This exclusive event brought together distinguished guests from various sectors including catering, fine dine restaurants, hotels, mixology, ambassadors, businesses, journalists, medias and basically Moutai fans.  This put together an evening of sophisticated mix of audiences with great cultural exchanges under a bonds and connections forming atmosphere, catalyzed by the charm of Moutai! A special thanks goes to the team of Moutai management headed by Mr. Liu Gang, Head of , who came all the way from China to be the special guests of the event. 

 

The evening began with a lively reception, where the red-carpet guided guests to a grand backdrop showcasing an elegant display of Moutai products arranged on a striking tower. Guests were warmly welcomed with professionally crafted Moutai cocktails by the Flying Bar Crew.  The two delicious cocktails were namely "Phoenix Bloom" and "Pearl of Moutai".. The "Phoenix Bloom," featuring Moutai, Crémant, and house-made plum purée, quickly became a crowd favorite, while the "Pearl of Moutai," with its elegant fusion of violet liqueur and premium tonic water, captivated guests with its unique twist of the traditional Sour. The cocktail reception buzzed with excitement as guests mingled and amused by the stunning Moutai decors which showcased the flagship products of Moutai, as well as some of the special editions that are rare to find. 

 

An immersive cultural experience was led by Moutai experts which allowed guests to explore the rich heritage of Chinese baijiu, also, learning the art of Moutai appreciation and traditional toasting etiquettes. This engaging presentation deepened their understanding of the spirit's cultural significance, and how baijiu plays an important role in the Chinese culture.,  The intriguing layers of Moutai's complex character were revealed, particularly its distinctive sauce-fragrance aroma and taste profile.  Not to mention its  hallmark of centuries-old distillation processes  and brewing environment that gives the spirit its uniqueness that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world. 

 

The culinary journey was prepared by The Fontenay's acclaimed kitchen, which was a masterclass in gastronomic artistry. Each course was thoughtfully infused with Moutai, seamlessly integrating the spirit into a fine dining experience. From the innovative appetizers to the sophisticated main courses, and culminating in an extraordinary Moutai-infused dessert, the menu showcased the spirit’s potential in haute cuisine, n illustrating Moutai’s versatility in contemporary gastronomy. 

 

Last but not least of this memorable evening was the grand raffle draw, where special editions of Moutai, including the prestigious Dragon Year Edition, were given out as star prizes. The atmosphere was electric with anticipations which drew a perfect conclusion of a magical evening.
